Epic Risk Management has hired a new Vice President with experience as both an operator and regulator. The company has named Teresa Fiore as the new Vice President of Partnerships.
Fiore’s knowledge and experience will be used to manage the firm’s key partnerships, and achieve the company’s goal of reducing the harm caused by bettors and sportsmen. Fiore will be responsible for managing partnerships with the NFLPA Professional Athletes Foundation, the MLS Players Association and the NCAA. Her primary focus will be on the US and Canadian market.
This appointment is a major marker in the continued expansion of EPIC within the US, explained Epic Risk Management CEO Paul Buck. We’re thrilled to have Teresa’s vast knowledge and experience in our organization. We value her perspective from both an industry and regulatory angle.
Fiore has spent five years as a manager at the Massachusetts Gaming Commission MGC, where he was responsible for the Responsible Gaming Program and Research. Then. She then moved to the operator’s side as PointsBet’s corporate social responsibility and responsible gambling manager.
The sale of the company to Fans was finalized by the end August.
Fiore stated in the press release that she was “very excited” to begin as VP of Partnerships, overseeing growth in the US Market, which is a huge opportunity. “I’ve known the EPIC team and have a high opinion of them for many years. We are very aligned with our approach and thinking on safer gambling.”
