In March, Colorado’s revenue from sports betting increased by 2.2% compared to the same month last year.
The total amount wagered for the month was $494,4m. This is down from the $505.6m wagered during March 2022. However, it’s still 16.3% higher than the $425.1m wagered by February of this year.
Customers wagered $489.9m on the internet during the month. The remaining $4.5m were wagered in retail sportsbooks located at state-owned land-based locations.
Gross gaming revenues for March were $35.4m. This is a 25.5% increase from the $28.2m reported during the same period last year, and also a 56.6% improvement over the $22.6m reported by February of this year.
Online sports betting generated $35.3m of this total. Retail wagering accounted for just $161.220.
Basketball was the sport most bet on in Nevada, with $193,0m placed in wagers in one month. $191.8m were online.
The second highest spender was college basketball, with $94.3m. Ice hockey, tennis, and soccer were all in the top five, with $25.3m each.
In March, players won $448.5m in sports betting. Tax payments totaled $3.1m.
