Red Deer Resort & Casino is a brand new casino in Alberta, Canada. It will open today, 8 September.
The new Jackpot Casino is an extension of the hotel and will offer a variety of gambling options. Slot machines, poker, and table games are available on site. The gaming area is 38,000 sq ft.
This new venue has over 240 rooms in addition to a conference centre, meeting rooms, dining areas, and a bar.
Employment is expected to rise by 20% as a result of the expansion and upgrade of the hotel.
The completion of the casino was a significant milestone for the City of Red Deer and O’Chiese Business and Investment Center.
The casino will play a major role in driving tourism and economic development for the region. It becomes an entertainment hub for the entire region.

Vici completes quadruple Century casino purchase in Alberta
Vici Properties acquired four casinos in Alberta, from Century Casinos, the week before. The real estate trust paid CA$221.7m for the properties.
Vici announced the sale-leaseback of the Century land-based casino portfolio in Canada in May.
Vici acquires Century Casino & Hotel Edmonton and Century Casino St Albert. Century Mile Racetrack & Casino, Century Downs, Century Downs Racetrack, and Century Downs are also owned by Vici.
The existing master lease between Vici Century and Century will be amended to include the casinos. Rents will rise by $17.3m, or 7.8%.
The agreement will also be extended to include a 15-year base initial lease. Century has agreed to the initial renewal of its option.
