Playtika, a social gaming developer, has appointed Gili Brundno chief human resource officer and gave Darlan Monterisi executive vice president and global head communications.
Brudno will be responsible for Playtika’s global human resource strategy, develop talent strategies and improve employee experience in order to strengthen Playtika’s position on the market.
Brudno is an experienced human resource executive. She joined the company after having been chief people officer at BioCatch and vice president for SAP’s Global Services Sales Business.
Monterisi will be in charge of corporate and brand communications, including media relations, reputation management, corporate digital content and employee engagement. He also serves as a strategic advisor for other executives.
After having been the brand and corporate communications manager at Dataminr, an artificial intelligence company, she takes over the new role. She previously managed internal and externe communications programs at companies like Rockstar Games and CA Technologies.
Shlomi Aizenberg, Playtika’s chief operating officers, stated that Gili and Darlan “bring tremendous experience and perspective” to Playtika. “The talents of these outstanding leaders will propel Playtika among our diverse stakeholders and help us realize our ambitious vision.”
Development suspension
After Playtika announced last week that it would suspend its game development pipeline until the return on new games is “economically feasible”, the double hire follows.
Playtika’s President and CFO Craig Abrahams explained the news in their FY22 earnings call. They also discussed the reasons for the company’s decision to not accept an “evolving” industrial landscape.
Abrahams stated that the decision was part of a larger project with the goal of aligning “the company’s expense profile and revenue trends”. This has included actively managing costs and streamlining at all levels.
