The gaming technology provider Playtech will expand its poker presence through a new agreement with the Swedish gambling company Svenska Spel Sport & Casino.
Svenska Spel has launched Playtech’s poker offering and iPoker network. The operator is aiming to “modernise” and “improve” its poker offering.
This updated platform brings with it a variety of new features. This includes a mobile-friendly experience as well as a link to the iPoker Network. This network gives users access to more tournaments, a bigger prize pool and a larger liquidity pot than before.
The agreement builds on Svenska Spel’s partnership with Playtech in 2019. The supplier supplied the operator’s suite of Live Casino and Online casino offerings under the terms of the deal.
Svenska Spel and Playtech mark new partnership
Playtech has recently obtained a B2B licence in Sweden, as per the new regulations. The provider described the agreement as a “key milestone” in its expansion.
Marat Koss said that Playtech was “delighted to expand its partnership with Svenska Spel”. The executive praised the agreement as well for expanding its presence in Sweden.
He said: “This is the positive result of our poker investments, as we are now collaborating with renewed licensees like Svenska Spel.” “We are thrilled to welcome Svenksa Spel into the iPoker Family”.
Fredrik Hard is the head of poker and bingo at Svenska Spel. He added, “Playtech’s Poker offering was a big step forward for Svenska Spel. We are now part of the international iPoker Network and we are always looking for ways to improve our player experience.
This deal is a testament to the quality of Playtech and we look forward to seeing this relationship grow in the future.
