Gaming Innovation Group announced that it had been granted a licence by Splinspektionen to provide gambling software in Sweden.
GiG has received the approval ahead of the new regulations in Sweden that require all B2B Software providers on the Swedish market license their technology in accordance with the updated legislation. The new regulations are set to take effect on July 1, 2019.
Claudio Caruana stated that: “As the regulators continue building more robust requirements for industry suppliers and operators we will continue our efforts to ensure the development of technology and procedures puts us at the forefront of matters of compliance.”
Since its launch in Sweden, GiG, which is listed on NASDAQ Stockholm has powered several partners, including Suprnation’s Lucky Days, Betsson Zecure and Suprnation.
The platform provider now has a license in more than 29 regulated markets, with eight others to be added soon.
