The Australian Communications and Media Authority has blocked eight more offshore gambling websites and affiliate marketing websites.
ACMA ordered Casino Jax and Mirax Casino, Wild Fortune Casinos, Wild Fortune Casinos, Wild Fortune Casinos, Kosmonaut Casinos, Wild Fortune Casinos, Wild Fortune Casinos, Slotozens, Rolling Slotss, N1 Bet Casinos and No Deposit Kings to Be Blocked.
Operators were found operating illegally in the country, in violation of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.
ACMA asked Australian internet service providers not to allow access to the eight sites.
Since ACMA’s first request for blocking, 709 illegal gambling websites and affiliate sites have been blocked. 180 other illegal gambling websites have been removed from Australia since ACMA started enforcing new illegal offshore gaming rules in 2017.
After ACMA requested the blocking of Pokie Surf and Stellar Spins last month, the blocking of Boomerang Casino, Olympia Casino, Rock n Reels, Rock n Reels, Stellar Spins and Stellar Spins for violating the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.
Last month, Noah Rose a sole trader operating under BetDeluxe, was forced to pay AU$50.172 in order to crack down on spam-unsubscribing.
ACMA investigated BetDeluxe and found that they sent over 104,000 SMS messages to subscribers without unsubscribe functions, as well as more than 820,000 SMS text messages that didn’t include contact information.
Between December 2021 to February 2022, messages were sent out that advertised a “cheeky punch” and a VIP service on racing and sports. They also promoted bonuses bets and money back offers.
