Miami Heat playing incredible basketball right now
Who could have predicted that Miami Heat would perform so well in the Eastern Conference finals’ first three games? The Heat entered the series as the underdogs but completely destroyed the Celtics. Jimmy Butler led Heat to victory in the first two games, both of which were played at TD Garden Boston.
In Game 3, however, the Miami boys put on a masterclass in teamwork. The team played together, and 11 players scored at least one point. Six of them scored in double figures with Vincent Gabe leading the way with 29 points.
Miami’s Game 3 performance was impressive because they played a great defensive game. The Celtics were held to just 102 total points in that game. Boston’s Jayson – who had a PPG of 30.1 in the regular-season – only scored 14 points.
Are the Boston Celtics too down to do anything?
It’s hard to imagine the atmosphere in Boston Celtics’ locker room. The Celtics entered the Eastern Conference Finals favored but now find themselves 3-0 down. Nobody expected it but no one could say that they deserved more. Heat player outplayed each of them in the playoff games.
Jayson Tatum was very active in the first 2 games. But in Game 3 we didn’t see him much. All the Boston players seemed to be anemic, too. They missed way too many shots in their most recent match.
It’s a bit surprising that their defense was not at the same level as it had been during the regular season, when they were so good.
