CasinoBeats Summit’s 5th Edition, the eagerly anticipated event is fast approaching. It will deliver its highly sought-after ‘Global Casino Conference Track’. The track, which will span both days of the conference (24-25 may), will showcase an in-depth examination of the constantly changing gaming industry globally, with roundtables, panel discussions, and jurisdictions like Malta, Germany Sweden, Italy Spain, the Netherlands UK and Ontario.
The brightest minds from the casino industry are coming together in Malta at the InterContinental Hotel to discuss the changing landscape of iGaming. The attendees will have the chance to participate in a variety of discussions including: how to navigate restrictive markets, intricacies in several iGaming countries, how to increase player databases, and how to make local innovation global.
The summit will begin with the opportunity to take part in the ‘Emerging Markets Roundtables’. With a wide range of industry experts present, we will discuss everything from the technology landscape in Africa to the importance of expanding casino operations in a LatAm sports betting-dominated market. Attendees will be able to get a first-hand account of the changing markets in LatAm and Africa, as well as Japan, with the help of a wide range industry experts.
Panel discussion on “UK Focus: mitigating increased compliance costs” will explore how operators can adapt intelligently to regulatory changes and how they can integrate this into their compliance departments. Panellists are Dee Maher, Andrew Rhodes, (CEO of UKGC), and Paul Foster, (CEO of Crucial Compliance). The panel, moderated by David Clifton, Director, Clifton Davies Consultancy Limited, will discuss the latest changes in the UK Gambling Act, and how compliance departments, working together, can reduce the costs.
The panel “Germany Focus- Weathering the Storm” will open the second day of the summit. It will cover the German InterState Gambling Treaty, which has been criticized and discuss how to successfully navigate it. The panel will include Christian Madlindl, (Managing Director, Magic Sports Media), and Sebastian Erfurth, (CCO at Casino.online), with others to be announced. The panel, moderated by Johannesbrecher (Senior Accounts Director, iGaming, Lead Link GmbH), will highlight the enormous opportunity that the German market offers and look at how operators can survive and build upon a loyal client base in the future.
The summit will close with a panel discussion entitled “Malta Focus – reimagining iGaming’s favourite hub”, where experts will talk about the technological innovations that keep Malta at the forefront in iGaming. The panel will feature Dr Brandon Debattista (Deputy Chief Regulatory Office, MGA) as well as Ivan Filletti, GamingMalta’s COO. It will highlight Malta’s position in the evolution and development of European regulatory landscape, and the role that technological innovation plays in improving player safety, transparency, and protection. The panel will be moderated by James Scicluna (Co-managing Partner, WH Partners).
The same track also includes panels that take a deep dive into the challenges of regional regulation, the potential untapped in the European market, and the development of gaming in North America and Canada.
