BetMGM, a sports betting and online gambling operator, announced that it has joined forces with Boston Red Sox in order to become an Official Sport Betting Partner for the MLB franchise.

BetMGM’s partnership with the Boston Red Sox was the first with a Massachusetts sports betting organization.
Matt Prevost chief revenue officer at BetMGM said that the Red Sox were “one of the most loved teams in baseball” and was eager to “bring BetMGM to their passionate fan base” and “to improve the gameday experience here in Boston.”
BetMGM will be featured on Fenway Park’s home field, Red Sox Park, as part of its partnership with them. This includes the Green Monster, which is the ballpark’s left field wall. The sports betting brand will also have a suite in the stadium, offering VIP experiences to fans, such as access to batting practice, alumni appearances and ceremonial first pitches.

Troup,, executive vice-president of partnerships for Boston Red Sox, commented on the agreement as well, “proudly partner with BetMGM”, while states prepare for the official launch mobile sports wagering. This will “enter an era of professional sporting betting.”

Co-branded content will also be integrated across both the digital and social media platforms for the sports betting brand as well as the MLB franchise in Boston.
MGM Resorts can strengthen ties
BetMGM’s partnership will strengthen the Red Sox’s relationship with MGM Resorts. This multi-year agreement made BetMGM and its casino and hospitality company Official Resort Casino of Boston Red Sox. It also gave the MGM Music Hall at Fenway the naming rights.
Chris Kelley is the president and chief operating office for Northeast Group at MGM Resorts. He stated that MGM Springfield was able to market itself as a “destination for New England baseball fans” by hosting the Red Sox Winter Weekend.
