Recent debates have focused on the risk and reward of gaming-related investments in intellectual property. It is becoming more apparent that this investment is not always worthwhile. It’s a different matter to secure the IP rights for one of America’s most beloved game shows.
BetMGM has been granted the IP to work with IGT in order to bring an online Wheel of Fortune casino to New Jersey. This is a first for the United States.
The Wheel of Fortune brand was the first brand-led online casino to be established in the United States. It has been a fixture on casino floors for over a quarter of century. However, there is now an entire online casino dedicated solely to the beloved brand.
Online casino now available in the Garden State.

Wheel of Fortune celebrated its 40th season in September 2022. This latest move has allowed it to grow its brand in the gambling industry where it has long been a major player.
Suzanne Prete is the Executive Vice President of Games Shows at Sony Pictures Television. She said: “Over the past 40 years, IGT’s Wheel of Fortune brands have been brought to life through a variety of products, including IGTs highly successful Wheel of Fortune slots.
“We are excited to see BetMGM continue on its success and launch the first US-based online casino.
IGT holds the rights to Wheel of Fortune since a while now. In 2021, u unveiled its omnichannel solution at SBC Summit North America.
