Betsson Group announced the launch in Malta of the first Diversity and Inclusion Network (D&I).
Betsson’s Network is a network that aims to foster an inclusive culture at work in Malta and other countries. It also encourages dialogue around the issues of belonging and diversity. This is to create an inclusive workplace environment.
Betsson’s 2022 D&I conference was the inspiration for the Network.
Launch event for the Network will be held at the Betsson Group Experience Centre in Ta’Xbiex, Malta on 22 March. Open roundtable discussions will be held, along with presentations by Lena Nordin (Betsson’s chief HR officer) and Maria Loumpourdi (head of talent development).
Nordin stated, “We believe diversity drives innovation. We also believe success is a result of it.” “And we are thrilled to launch the first D&I Network Malta. Here we can connect and work together to create an inclusive and diverse workplace culture that benefits everyone.
Betsson has a positive year
This news comes after Betsson’s FY22 results and Q4 results last week, with Pontus Lindwall, president and chief executive of Betsson, describing 2022 as Betsson’s “best ever year”.
According to the operator, fourth quarter revenues increased by 40% to EUR220.6m. This is an increase of EUR157.5m from the previous year. The company reported a 18% increase in revenue to EUR777.2m for the full year.
Lindwall stated that Betsson can now look back on the year with strong growth, profitability, and geographical diversification, which was driven by disciplined capital allocation, geographic diversification, and investments in new market markets as well as the continuous strengthening of the tech platform, product offering, and platform.
